This is a cute movie about three beautiful women (Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable & Lauren Becall) who search for the men of their dreams. So they rent a luxury apartment (which they can't afford) to look good in everyone's eyes and make their wishes come true. Does it work the way they planned? Of course not, and that is part of what makes this comedy a good movie. It's not a laugh-until-you-cry comedy, but one that has a few chuckles and smiles here and there that lead up to the big laugh in the finale. Although noot overly halarious, it is still very amusing. This classic comedy still makes me snicker and it shows that some values have not changed over the years. The three leading ladies are beautiful and excellent in their roles. It is also interesting to me that Nicole Kidman bought the rights for a remake, which tells me that this movie is timeless.
